How did you get into Photography?

When my parent sold our old house in 2006, we got a “Happy Day”, and my dad got me a Canon XTi. I was 13, and I have no idea what he was thinking, but I took it everywhere and grew a love for photography.

What is your natural hair color?

Dirty blonde. I just love change so much I dye my hair about twice a year.

How did you and Jacob meet?

Jacob and I met while I was attending BYU-Idaho in the fall of 2012. We’ve been inseparable since.

How old are you and Jacob?

Jacob is 22 and I’m 21.

What is the best part of married life?

Never having to say goodbye at night! I’m a worrywart and I used to hate saying goodbye to Jacob after dates because I’d stress about things that weren’t even existent. Now I get to have a slumber party with my best friend every night!

My boy/girlfriend is going on a LDS mission; how do I get through these next two years?

I know everyone is different, but for me personally, having pictures to look back on was such a comfort! Sharing positive thoughts with one other is great and even sharing your own spiritual grow spurts. Something I realized was that just because Jacob was gone, didn’t mean my life had to be put on pause. I started planning a trip to go out of the country, I pursued my passions, and I spent time with family. Make sure to still have fun and continue living.
